Green Ravolution is ready to move! Singapore has a well-resourced National Recycling Program (NRP) that endeavours to keep Singapore clean and green. GRAVO has a similar ambition, to bring many parties (Recyclers, Recyclable Collectors, GREEN Stakeholders) of diverse backgrounds together to enable them to carry out 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) in a convenient, efficient, mutually-supporting and rewarding way. We are committed to grow the network of GRAVO Recyclers, Collectors, 3R Sponsors and fellow GREEN Stakeholders, to actively protect the environment.

The 3R efforts in Singapore, and worldwide can and must be improved. Our belief is that a more convergent and integrated 3R action by a broader range of stakeholders will bring about greater, and faster positive impact and benefits for the environment and Mother Earth.

This action involves education, incentives, disincentives, rewards and a dose of altruism, constructed and integrated with innovative ways to magnify the desired effects. GRAVO aspires to be one small step for 3R, one giant leap for Mother Earth.

ONE The war with waste and pollution Without an efficient waste collection and disposal infrastructure, our very streets would be highly hazardous because of the many forms of pollution.

An increase in global warming because of a lack of 3R is what got us to these unpredictable temperatures. How much more can Mother Earth endure? How long can we sustain? Each year, we send about 200,000 tonnes of solid waste and all incineration ash to the Semakau landfill. At this rate, we will run out of space by 2035.

The cost to keep Singapore clean continues to increase, as made evident with the increase in Services and Conservancy Charges (S&CC). An efficient 3R model must be implemented to revitalize how we look at waste disposal and help reduce the costs and pressure on our waste disposal infrastructure.
